PRESIDENT BIDEN: Today, as we watch freedom and liberty under attack abroad, I’m here to fulfill my responsibilities under the Constitution to preserve freedom and liberty here in the United States of America.
And it’s my honor to introduce to the country a daughter of former public school teachers, a proven consensus builder, an accomplished lawyer, a distinguished jurist — one of the nation’s most — on one of the nation’s most prestigious courts. My nominee for the United States Supreme Court is Judge Ketanji Jackson.

WOMEN OF COLOR COALITION ENDORSE
JENNIFER MCCLELLAN
December 14, 2022
Women of Color Coalition is pleased to announce our formal endorsement of Jennifer McClellan for Congress. Throughout her 17 years in the state legislature, Senator McClellan has been a proven champion for policies that improve the lives of women of color and their families. From ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment, creating a state-based healthcare exchange under Obamacare, creating the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, working to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline, the Reproductive Health Protection Act, extending worker protections to domestic workers, raising the minimum wage, and so much more like leading Virginia to become the FIRST southern state to pass it's own Voting Rights Act. As Co-Chair of Virginia's Legislative Black Caucus, Jennifer McClellan has already been working to better the lives of all who live in Virginia, and we have no doubt she will continue that work in Congress.
With the passing of Congressman McEachin, the 4th Congressional District has the opportunity for historical change by electing the first Black woman to represent Virginia in Congress. Virginia’s 4th Congressional District needs the leadership of Jennifer McClellan, someone who has proven time and time again she is willing to put the people above politics and deliver policy that improves the lives of all Virginians. Women of Color Coalition looks forward to the proven leadership, fresh perspective, and much-needed voice of Jennifer McClellan as the next House of Representative for Virginia’s 4th Congressional District.
Respectfully,
Women of Color Coalition
